Dr Simon Wright
Research Principal, Energy Futures, Institute for Sustainable Futures, UTS

Simon Wright is a Research Principal at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) at UTS and brings almost 20 years of sustainability experience in industry, consultancy and academia. Simon's research examines large-scale energy transitions and how the move to renewables and a more circular economy can be accelerated in Australia.


Simon lives and works in Orange and also runs his own sustainability consultancy working with industry and government in the regions. Simon was recently awarded a Churchill Fellowship to investigate employment pathways for mining communities transitioning to low carbon industries and will spend 8 weeks overseas later this year investigating how the overseas experience can inform Australia's transition to renewables.
