I was first elected as a Lachlan Shire Councillor in 1999, becoming their first delegate to the Association Mine Related Councils. I remained their delegate until 2008. After being re-elected in 2019, I was elected as a delegate to the Association where I am now Deputy Chair.
My family has had a long connection with the shire. At one stage we owned landed that had an operational mine, thus a reason for my interest in mining and its impact on my local community.

I am passionate about improving the working with all facets of the community to enhance opportunities for its growth. Living an area, which services two operational mines, with two potential mine site being identified, mining is developing into a key industry for us. We have solar farms operators investigating opportunities near Condobolin. Lake Cargelligo, has a solar farm operating.
