The world of tomorrow will be shaped by the three of the biggest undeniable megatrends: Urbanization, Digitization and Industrialization leading to increased energy demand. At Schneider, we view this as an exciting opportunity of our generation to solve this energy paradox: Balancing our planet’s carbon footprint with the irrefutable human right to have access to energy.
Many said this is a BOLD VISION. At Schneider, we constantly challenge ourselves to rethink the future, re-write the rules of the game and to re-access the possibilities. A BOLD VISION calls for BOLD IDEAS. Ideas that are tangible and applicable right NOW; ideas, that are able to deliver measurable results.
We are a leader in digital transformation, and have proven that sustainability and profitability can co-exist. We empower people and enterprises to realize their BOLD IDEAS. We bring these ideas to life, ensuring process and energy safe and reliable, efficient and sustainable, open and connected.
Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) is building a global rare earths and critical minerals business to provide the high-tech metals needed to solve the challenges of today and the future. ASM has its cornerstone rare earths and critical minerals project in Dubbo, Australia, and its flagship high-tech metals plant in Ochang, South Korea.
ASM intends to develop the Dubbo Project to produce a range of metal oxides and mixed chlorides. Working in partnership with the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), ASM has completed significant successful test work to develop an advanced flowsheet and optimise oxide recoveries.
When the Dubbo Project is constructed, the products will be metallised at ASM’s Metals Plants, the first of which is in Ochang, Korea. The Korean Metals Plant opened in 2022, and delivered its first sale of neodymium praseodymium metal in September 2022. The plant’s initial focus is on neodymium products and titanium alloy.
